Location

Cossogno is located in the hills of Verbania and benefits from a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. Only a ten minute drive from the centre of the city and the Maggiore Lake, it is one of the few villages of the Val Grande National Park (a natural reserve and one of the bigger wild area in Europe). About an hour from Milan and close to the Swiss border, the Monte Rosa and Como, Varese, Orta and Mergozzo Lakes, Cossogno is a perfect base from which to experience the Italian Lake District.

Clematis Lodge

Clematis Lodge is perfect for visitors who want to enjoy a bit of everything, but it is especially suited to those who value peace and silence and who consider their holiday a time to restore mind and soul.

Ten minutes from the city of Verbania, Cossogno has limited traffic and noise pollution, especially since cars are parked just outside the centre of the village (handy for luggage transport). You can hear only the church bell strikes and children play.

Nonetheless Cossogno provides all the basic comodities, including a food shop, open in the morning, a coffee shop-trattoria, open for lunch and dinner, as well as a tennis court and beach volley court.

Most importantly however, Cossogno marks the entrance to the great natural reserve of the Val Grande, and therefore borders onto a glorious wood and a variety of hiking trails which are just a few steps from your door.
